Your past did not define you then, and it sure as hell does not define you now.
Dear 16 Year Old Me:
You were afraid.
You were lost.
You were alone.
You made countless mistakes.
Ones that were acted on based on what you knew.
Based on things that never were talked about...ever!
Things that were "considered" wrong.
You were young.
You were curious.
You were naive.
You were what you thought you needed to be.
To feel wanted.
To feel loved.
To be someone.
To just have someone's attention.
You found the total opposite ...
A reply from Universe:
Remember those times you longed to have someone love you?
Remember those wishes of something different?
Remember you desired to see what else was out there?
You manifested something different.
You gave you a chance (even a second change).
You changed the course of your life with one decision.
You may have been judged, BUT you rose above it.
You may have been a nobody to many, BUT you rose above it.
You may have struggled, BUT you rose above it. You may have been worried, felt guilty and had a rough living.
You may have been betrayed by those who vowed to love you and care for you forever.
You may have been laughed at.
You may have been told you wouldn't make it.
You may have been told no one will love you.
...BUT you made it fucking happen!
You graduated high school.
You graduated college.
You got a great job.
You accomplished what those closest to you said you wouldn't do.
It made you push harder.
It reminded you of how strong you truly are.
It made you prioritize your life.
It reminded you what was more important.
It taught you how to be grateful for it all.
You were chosen to break the cycle.
You were chosen to be great.
You were chosen to be the ONE.
You should be very proud of yourself, because we're proud of you.
Sincerely,
Your 29 Year Old Self
+ The Universe
You may have been lost, but you found your way.
It doesn't matter what happened then, what matters is what you did with it.
You are a warrior.
You are enough.
