Lost. Confused. Alone. All examples of an exploding fuse.
The fuse was the inner child just fighting to burst and make herself known.
Instead, she was afraid, misguided, in search of something outside of herself for approval, love and affection.
Dear 12 Year Old Me,
You may have been emotionally abandoned.
You may have been mentally abused.
You may have felt like quitting, but you'll make it to 29.
You will fucking make it!
You were belittled.
You were denied.
You were mistreated.
You were secluded.
You were taught how to lie.
You were religiously told not to act the way you taught to.
Remember how you got through it?!
By believing in something.
Believing there was more to life than pain.
Believing there was more to life than tears.
Believing there was more to life than the little room you stayed in.
Remember how you manifested it?!
The stars. The sky. The unknown.
You wished on the same star every night.
You envisioned change.
You envisioned love.
You envisioned happiness.
Baby girl, you found it!
Even if it may seem like a lifetime later.
But you know what?
You had it in you all along.
Determination.
Resilience
Passion.
That right there, will even get you through 29.
You found true love...love in yourself.
You freed yourself from all of the chains that held you back, and all of the walls that were built out of self-doubt and fear.
You are a Goddess.
You are a Leader.
You are a Manifestor.
You are one with the Universe.
The message to you, is to never doubt yourself. Affirm today that you are worthy of being seen, of being heard, of being you.
Sincerely,
My 29 Year Old Self
Freedom of doubt and guilt ends the day you put YOU first. When you put your healing needs first. When you become vulnerable. When you meet your shadow. When you release the old.
You are free.
